A classic Cahors red wine from Château de Gaudou, made in the heart of South-West France. This characterful blend combines Malbec, Merlot and Tannat to create a rich yet approachable expression of the Cahors terroir.
Deep in colour with attractive violet reflections, the wine opens with aromas of ripe red fruit and liquorice, accompanied by subtle mineral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well structured, with silky tannins, good freshness and a generous, savoury finish.

Château de Gaudou is a historic family estate in Vire-sur-Lot, in the Cahors appellation. The Durou family has been associated with the property for generations, with the estate covering around 50 hectares of vineyards. The domaine focuses on expressing the character of Malbec and the distinctive Cahors terroir, while combining traditional expertise with modern winemaking.
A wonderfully versatile red to enjoy with red meats, roast dishes, grilled chicken, duck confit, hearty vegetables and cheeses. It also works particularly well with classic French cooking, including gratins and roasted dishes.
